I'd like to introduce myself to the team members. I asked to join this team about two weeks ago. I have read through this site and there sure is lots of great information! Let's see, where should I begin?
First of all I am married and live in Western Pennsylvania. We have two dogs and are in the process of adopting a little girl from China. We have been "paper pregnant" for almost two years now. That's longer than it takes an elephant to have a baby! Anyway, we're not giving up! We know it will happen when the time is right.
I have a longarm quilting business. Basically, I machine quilt the tops that others piece. Not everyone has time to do hand quilting anymore so there are a lot of folks who like to piece the tops and then get them machine quilted by someone like myself who has a professional longarm machine. I have wanted to open an online site for a long time but didn't know how. I love quilting but also love to do other things like needle felting, working with wool, knitting and crocheting, embroidery, etc. When I found Etsy I was so happy! Now I can have my online shop and my quilting business too!
I'd like to join this team so that I can help promote Etsy, help others get noticed for their great work and also promote my own shop! I'd love to be part of a community to hopefully grow our businesses and form friendships.
I just recently started my own blog at http://needlewooddesigns.blogspot.com which is really fun. I try to feature a few Etsy sellers regularly and post information that might be interesting to others. This is a new thing for me so I'm learning new skills all the time. I like to write funny little stories or make what I write interesting by adding humor.
I'm on Etsy everyday unless I'm away on vacation, etc. I'd love to help promote this team and network with everyone to help promote our shops. I don't know if I have any special skills I can offer other than my time, creativeness and willingness to learn.
I hope we can work togeter!
